Meet Avery Carl, short term rental (STR) real estate industry expert and CEO of her agency,The Short Term Shop.

Avery is a powerhouse in the real estate investment market. On today's episode,  Avery shares her story of how she went from a $37,000 annual salary job in the corporate world to becoming the CEO of her business, The Short Term Shop. 

The Short Term Shop is a real estate team that helps investors acquire short term rental properties in the most recession-resistant markets, and educates them on the same methods that ultimately led Avery out of the corporate rat race and into financial freedom. 

Avery is also the author of Short Term Rental, Long Term Wealth:Your Guide To Analyzing, Buying,and Managing VacationProperties, and the host of “The Short Term Show" podcast.

Like most, she stumbled into real estate through her first home purchase in Tenessee… and the rest is history!

In just 5 and a half short years, She has over 205+  doors through strategically investing in short-term and vacation rentals. This strategy allowed her to grow her portfolio much more quickly than starting off with traditional long-term rentals.

She has helped over 4,500 families create generational wealth through real estate investing.

In 2020, Avery was named one of Wall Street Journal’s Top 100 and Newsweek’s Top 500 agents.  She has sold over $300 million in Short Term/Vacation Rentals since 2017.  She has also been featured numerous times as an industry expert on  the "Bigger Pockets" podcast  and was a featured speaker at multiple Bigger Pockets Conferences, as well.
